Digital Village in Tseikuru (TDV).

The TDV is a new Information center that aims to provide interested individuals and professionals working in the field of community development in Tseikuru with a "one-stop-shop" for the retrieval and exchange of development information and data. This is a center where people come and acquire training and skills aimed at accelerating development agenda within the region.

a) Objectives
At the Digital Village we encourage and support community organizations in Tseikuru district to use facts in the decisions they make. We help local groups to access and use the wide range of information available. We also deliver training to local projects through workshops and seminars.

By providing this service, we help community organizations to plan services, develop their groups and access knowledge through capacity building.

We encourage local people to develop their expertise in social and economic manner. We do this in the following ways.

Firstly, we offer training to local projects through workshops and seminars. The workshops concentrate on online sources of information. We have also offered topical seminars. We also offered training for staff working for local organizations.

Secondly, we run an information request service where we work with community based organizations to source and analyze the relevant information they need to put together for funding applications.

Thirdly, we offer computer training to bridge the digital divide among the local communities so as to open up the area hence interacting with the rest of the world.

Lastly, we offer consultancy to organizations and individuals business process outsourcing.

We intend to open more such Digital Villages and with your support, donations in kind or partnership we can upscale and empower local communities.
